Chat module.. re-designed!
The chat module has been completely revamped, bringing in vital improvements and exciting new features. These include options to enable or disable file uploads, and settings for either interactive or read-only modes. Additionally, we've introduced an embeddable standalone mode. This allows for the chat module to be seamlessly integrated into any website, either as a comprehensive chat window or as a small, unobtrusive chat bubble icon positioned in the site's lower right corner.

Chat in public Pages
When a Page is configured to public mode and chat is enabled in the Page Settings, any visitor to that public page can join the chat channel, post messages, and/or upload files. For more specific chat controls, like enabling or disabling file uploads, choosing between interactive or read-only modes, and setting the chat to public or private view, you can adjust these options in the settings menu of the specific chat channel.
Chat in public Boards
By setting a Board to public mode and activating the chat in the Board Settings, anyone visiting that public board will have the ability to join the chat channel, post messages, and/or upload files. If you require finer control over chat permissions, such as enabling or disabling file uploads, selecting between interactive or read-only modes, or choosing public or private viewing options, these can be adjusted in the settings menu of the specific chat channel.
Internal Chat in Boards
Activating the internal chat on Boards facilitates effortless communication among your team directly from the board's view. When set to public mode, this chat seamlessly merges into the same channel, allowing real-time interaction between your team members and the public users.
Miscellaneous Improvements
- For quick collaboration you can now create a meeting from inside a card in Boards
- Sketch (excalidraw) upgraded to v0.17.0
- Cogency blog received a face-lift
- Chat channels can now be archived, or reset (archive all messages)
